Minnesota Vikings: Observations from Team OTAs
Laquon Treadwell Putting in the Extra Work
After being selected in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings, Laquon Treadwell has gone straight to work. After arriving in Minnesota, Treadwell dove right into the playbook trying to master the routes and plays of his new offensive scheme.
Over the course of the Vikings OTA’s, Treadwell has been mostly with the second team. All though he is a first round pick, he still has to work his way up to being on the first team. He has done very well throughout these practice sessions.
After a few dropped passes throughout the team’s OTA’s, Treadwell was seen working after practice with the JUGS Machine, catching balls for an hour after everyone left. He has shown he is willing to put in the work.
Head Coach Mike Zimmer was asked about the part of Treadwell’s game he looks forward to the most on KFAN radio this morning. Zimmer was quoted saying this.
"The way he blocks, even in these practices without pads, you can just tell by the attitude and way he does it, that he means it."
Known to be a great blocker, Treadwell will be as much of a benefit to Peterson as he is to Bridgewater in the passing game.
