Laquon Treadwell Receives a Little Rookie Hazing

With the Minnesota Vikings mini-camp starting yesterday, and the first round pick Laquon Treadwell having his 21st birthday, he came to camp today and received a little rookie hazing.

Yesterday was the first day of the Minnesota Vikings mini-camp. Yesterday was also the Vikings first round pick Laquon Treadwell’s 21st birthday. He celebrated his birthday by buying himself a new Range Rover.

Today being the second day of mini-camp, Treadwell drove his new car to camp and got ready to work out. He has meshed well with the Vikings players so far this offseason and was in store for some rookie hazing.

After practice ended, Treadwell came out to his new Range Rover to realize that Kyle Rudolph and Teddy Bridgewater had given him a birthday gift he did not expect.

With a lifetime supply of Welch’s Fruit Snacks, Treadwell’s new quarterback and tight end filled his car to the top through the sunroof. Treadwell emerged to open his doors and the fruit snacks came flooding out. The car was filled with a total of 60,000 packages of fruit snacks.

Afterwards, Treadwell tweeted this out.

All in good fun, now it is time for the rookie to get back to work. He is projected to become the Minnesota Vikings starting split end, but it is certain that the job will not be handed to him. He seems to have put in the work so far this offseason.

The Vikings have a chance to put together an amazing season this upcoming year. Adrian Peterson mentioned today in the media session that the goal of a Super Bowl was more realistic than ever and if that was not the goal of every player on the team then that player needed to hit the road. This upcoming season should be interesting as the Vikings look to have the best team that they have had in years.
