With the NBA Draft coming up on Thursday, Foot Locker has a new commercial starring Minnesota Timberwolves forward Karl-Anthony Towns.

Karl-Anthony Towns is sure getting a lot of air time and publicity lately. After taking the NBA by storm last season and winning the Kia NBA Rookie of the Year trophy, Towns has made several appearances throughout the national media.

Immediatly after winning the Rookie of the year trophy, Towns was a guest on SportsCenter and multiple national radio shows. Towns next appeared as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He took his talents to try to make a half court shot from accross a New York Street to win $1 Million to split between all the audience members.

Next, as we wrote about last week, Karl-Anthony Towns was interviewed at the NBA Finals by the NBA TV Gametime Crew. Then Towns was a guest on The Jump with Rachel Nichols. Now as the NBA Draft approaches, Towns finds himself the star of a new Foot Locker commercial.

Here is the full commercial.

In a new commercial with Foot Locker, Towns teams up with soon to be first pick of the 2016 NBA Draft Ben Simmons, 2015 number 2 pick D’angelo Russell, and former Wildcat teammate and Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker.

Towns making so many appearaces throughout national media is something rare for Minnesota professional athletes. Towns has the charisma and personality to be a star.

Look for more Karl-Anthony Towns sightings on national television. As he gains more media attention and popularity, this is something that can be beneficial to the Minnesota Timberwolves. This could mean Towns is a big enough star to be able to garner endorsments and media  attention without playing in a major media market, helping the Timberwolves in free agency in a few years.
