With everything in the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise at a turning point, majority owner Glen Taylor announced yesterday that there will be a rebrand coming.

Yesterday, Minnesota Timberwolves fans heard the news that many of them had been hoping for. Majority owner Glen Taylor announced that there is a rebrand coming for the up and coming Timberwolves team.

With the team at a crucial turning point, it seems as if everything is looking up for the Timberwolves. The Timberwolves arena, the Target Center, is under renovations to make it up to date with some of the best arenas in the NBA. It seems that the rebrand will come when the renovations are finished.

There has been a lot of speculation to what direction the franchise will go with their rebrand. Most of the fanbase would like to see them go back to a more of an old school, original Timberwolves logo including a lighter blue, and green.

It seems that Glen Taylor is all in as of late, spending more time on doing everything that he can to make this team a contender and a marketable brand. From hiring a search firm to find the best coaching candidate, to hiring the most qualified and probably the most expensive coach in Tom Thibodeau, to approving the rebrand, and renovations to the Target Center.

The rebrand will in turn make Taylor more money as fans will buy new jerseys, and Timberwolves gear with new logos on it. The renovation should be exciting as well. Instead of funding a new stadium, which would cost a whole lot more, the Target Center is in one of the most prime locations in downtown Minneapolis so renovations to that spot will be a good choice.

Hopefully the rebrand will come with some new gorgeous jerseys filled with blue and green. It is still a little ways away, but this is something for Timberwolves fans to get excited about.
