Minnesota Twins: Max Kepler Has Been Cracking His Bat
In the last week, we have seen Minnesota Twins right fielder Max Kepler has been on a hot streak that has put him a top of the young players on the Twins roster.
As we have seen over this season, there have been very little bright spots in the Minnesota Twins season. It has been hard to watch over the last year.
Last week Minnesota ripped through the Indians pitching staff, which has been one of the best in the league. Max Kepler’s left handed swing has been a sweet one to watch over the last month and especially the last week.
Kepler has been seen putting the ball in the seats regularly over that time period. Now becoming the third hitter in the Twins lineup, Kepler hit four homers, scored eight runs and knocked in 10 during the Cleveland series.
Coming into the year, most of the attention on the Twins team went to Byron Buxton, Miguel Sano, and even Jose Berrios. Kepler has now pushed his way ahead of those guys with his steady bat and the power he has shown as of late. Some are even calling Kepler a legitimate AL Rookie of the Year candidate.
Kepler has hit 11 bombs over the last 25 games, which is more than any other player in the Major Leagues over that stretch.
Kepler is also playing great defense in right field. Over the last week, Kepler has thrown out two base runners trying to go for an extra base.

Kepler is one of the few bright spots for the Minnesota Twins this season. He will be one of the pieces the Twins build around for the future. He has shown that he can succeed on both sides of the plate and maybe he can keep up his hot streak and win the AL Rookie of the Year award.
