With Stefon Diggs Doubtful, Who’ll step up for Vikings
By Ryan Palmer
The Minnesota Vikings might be missing one of their biggest offensive weapons this Sunday. Stefon Diggs was officially listed as doubtful on the injury report.
With the defending AFC South champ Houston Texans coming to town, the Minnesota Vikings could be without star receiver Stefon Diggs.
Diggs (groin) was listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. Houston. Injuries have been nothing new to the 2016 Vikings, but it appears Stefon is only likely to miss this week.
So, who will fill the void?
Adam Thielen
Mr. Reliable himself, Adam Thielen, will once again be called upon to play a bigger role. He’s currently third on the team with 17 targets being thrown his way. Thielen has hauled in 13 receptions for 145 yards this season.

ESPN’s Jon Gruden noted how #19 has made some great catches coming into the Giants game. Adam has been clutch for the Vikings so far, look for him to get more opportunities to shine on Sunday.
Cordarrelle Patterson
It seems as if no Viking has wanted to see the field more than Cordarrelle Patterson. Head Coach Mike Zimmer has continually praised Patterson for his hard work and dedication to his craft in 2016.
Dedication to the point where Patterson has been playing gunner on special teams. Norv Turner might be brewing up some plays in the lab as we speak.
Jarius Wright
Jarius Wright has been patiently waiting for an opportunity according to Mike Zimmer. “He’s [Wright] always a great kid…works hard…prepares himself every week.” Jarius always seems to step up when you least expect it, this could be Wright’s week.
Vikings’ Running Game
If there was ever a time we could use a 150- plus rushing yards and a couple TD’s from Jerick McKinnon, now would be the week. Tack on 50- plus yards and a TD from Matt Asiata, and we’d be in business.

The interior lineman for the Minnesota Vikings had one of their best games against the Giants. According to Pro Football Focus, Alex Boone, Joe Berger and Brandon Fusco seem to be getting comfortable.
The complete injury report is as follows:
Out- RT Andre Smith (triceps), TE David Morgan (knee) and DT Sharrif Floyd (knee)
Doubtful- TE Rhett Ellison (knee) and WR Stefon Diggs (groin)
Probable- TE Kyle Rudolph (clavicle)

With all of the issues that the Minnesota Vikings have faced so far in 2016, Stefon Digg’s injury hopefully will be just a little blip-on-the-radar for this team.
