This weekend I was fortunate to get to attend my first game at US Bank Stadium. The Minnesota Vikings rolled to a victory, and the stadium was unbelievable.

This weekend was one I will remember forever. I was able to travel back to my hometown of the Twin Cities and attend my first game at US Bank Stadium. It could not be more amazing of a venue.

Upon pulling up to the stadium, we parked in the lot underneath the stadium. While walking up, it was unreal how big the stadium actually is. It makes the Metrodome look small, which is something I did not know was possible.

The tailgating in Minneapolis is some of the best I have seen. There were thousands of fans out early ready to cheer on their favorite team.

The view from the tailgate was amazing. Looking out to see the amazing architecture of US Bank Stadium along side the city skyline of downtown Minneapolis is breathtaking.

This was the first regular season game that was a day game. The sun was shining bright through the glass roof.

Ex Vikings Quarterback Tommy Kramer lead the game off by blowing the Gjallarhorn. From that moment on, it was louder than I had ever heard a stadium. My ears were ringing upon leaving later.

The Vikings started off hot and turned their two first drives into touchdowns.  The crowd was rocking. The stifling Vikings defense was doing work.

As Alex Boone requested, the big screens said “Vikings Offense Working, Stay Quiet.”  As the Texans offense was working, it was so loud that Osweiler had to run to each member of the offense to call plays as they could not hear a thing.

It was electric in there. What a feeling to have a Minnesota Vikings football team off to such a hot start, defying all odds, along with the best stadium in professional football.
