Minnesota Vikings defense will spook Bears’ Jay Cutler
By Ryan Palmer
The Minnesota Vikings got their first scare of the season last Sunday losing to the Eagles. The good news, Jay Cutler is dressing up as a QB for Halloween.
It is one of the most vaunted rivalries in football, the Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears. It has been a tale of two seasons for the NFC North leader, and the NFC North bottom-dweller.
Sam Bradford and the Minnesota Vikings have put together a very respectable season through their first six games. Leading their division, and bringing the NFL’s best defense into Chicago.

The Bears, well, they’re just not very good…
And it could get even worse this Monday when Jay Cutler makes his return to the lineup. Before missing time due to an injured thumb, his number’s were not exactly stellar. In two games, Cutler threw just 1 TD pass while giving up 2 INT’s.
Da’ Bears will be facing a Vikings team that has been lambasted all week by Mike Zimmer. I’m sure ‘soft’ was the most emphasized word during team meetings. The Minnesota Vikings need to appease their fiery coach before more stuffed animals suffer a cruel demise.
Minnesota will come out with an aggressive intent. I would be surprised if the Bears score more than 10 points. Knocking the rust off against a great defense is not easy, just ask Jake Long. The Viking’ offense will attempt to revive a non-existent running game, giving their line a chance to gel. It will be a very one-sided victory for the Minnesota Vikings.
So, what would you do if a bunch of p*ssed off Vikings show up at your door on Halloween? Would you…
A. Attempt to battle them, even though you know you’re over-matched at every level.
B. Lock your door and turn the lights out. Downtown Chicago has a lot to offer, they will surely go somewhere else.
C. Offer them delicious sugary treats. Perhaps a halftime blood sugar spike is just what the doctor ordered.
D. All of the above.

Jay Cutler will be handing out some candy to the Viking’ secondary. The Bears’ O-line is suffering from injury woes themselves. A strong pass rush will only add to a shaky performance from Cutler. Harrison Smith, Terence Newman, Xavier Rhodes and Trae Waynes will feast on Monday Night Football.
