Minnesota Timberwolves Must Right the Ship and Soon
With all of the expectations coming into this NBA season, the Minnesota Timberwolves are off to a dissapointing start.
Coming into this year, most predicted the Minnesota Timberwolves to break their 12 year playoff drought.
It was not something that was crazy to predict. With back to back number one picks, and ultimately back to back rookie of the year winners, with a top head coach coming on board, as well as another top 5 pick. People thought this young team would be playing for the post season.
After loosing last night in Brooklyn, the Minnesota Timberwolves have dropped to 1-5. This was not the way most fans expected the year to start.
Although their losses are by slim margins, this team still has some growing up to do. With Rubio sidelined, the team has 4 of their 5 starters under the age of 22. Who is the 22 year old you ask? Their rookie point guard Kris Dunn.

Even with a career night from Andrew Wiggins(36 points, 6 three’s, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal) and Tyus Jones putting together his best professional game, the Timberwolves could not pull out the win late in Brooklyn. Karl-Anthony Towns was in foul trouble early, which put him on the sideline for a portion of the game.
This team should be able to turn things around, but they could be putting themselves in too deep of a hole to climb out of.
Although the team looked better in the third quarter last night, which has been their downfall this season, too many missed layups and late missed free throws cost them the game.
When playing middle of the road teams, the young Minnesota Timberwolves must be able to at least go .500.

With all the talent this team possesses, they have to be able to put it all together. Hopefully we see that happen soon.
