With only one catch in his rookie season, Minnesota Vikings first round pick Laquon Treadwell has seemingly turned down help from the best wide receiver in Vikings history?

All season long, Vikings fans have wondered what is going on with first round pick Laquon Treadwell. He has barely seen the field at all. He has one catch so far in his young NFL career.

Originally, most chalked it up to the Vikings veteran wide receivers stepping up and playing well so far this year. Another thought was that Mike Zimmer was practicing his normal rookie regiment, and having them on the sideline for most of their rookie season. There is no reason to rush a player onto the field if you do not have to.

Earlier in the season, Mike Zimmer was quoted saying that he thought “Treadwell was still thinking too much about how many steps he should be taking in his routes.” It seemed that he was just warming up to the speed of the game.

Lately we have seen Treadwell’s snap count increase, although he has not seen his targets do the same. Zimmer said last week that they had seen a change in the rookie and that “he will be a great player.”

It seems that Treadwell was doing what he could to put in the work to become a contributing player in this league.

Today, Minnesota Vikings legend Randy Moss tweeted out a link to a site to sign up to work with the legend on the field.

Next, a Vikings fan responded asking him to work with the young Vikings rookie Treadwell. This was his response.

With Moss replying that he has already tried working with Treadwell already, and must have not been taken up on his offer.

This is something that is interesting. Why would Treadwell not want to work with one of the best wide receivers of all time, let alone a Minnesota Vikings legend?

Was Moss charging a large sum, or was it free? These are all things we must take into account before we think Treadwell was blowing up the help of the legend for no reason.

It does seem interesting though. Maybe this tells us something about Treadwell we did not know. Zimmer did mention that early in the year he thought he knew more than he did, like most rookies do.

Hopefully this ends the way most of us thought it would when Treadwell was drafted, with him turning into the in game factor he was in Ole Miss.
