The Minnesota Vikings will most likely need to win out to have a chance at the playoffs, but they will also need some help from other teams.

At this point, the Minnesota Vikings control what they can and hope for the best in a chance to make the playoffs. They will most likely have to win out, and have some help from other teams.

This weekend Vikings faithful will obviously be rooting for the Norseman to get a win against Andrew Luck and the Colts. The question then becomes, who else should we be rooting for to help us in our playoff chances?

First off, on a rare occassion, we will be rooting for the Bears to overtake the Green Bay Packers in Soldier Field this weekend. This is a game that has the chance to be the coldest game in NFL history. Hopefully the cold and Aaron Rodgers nagging injury gives the Bears the edge.

If possible, the one win 49ers will try their luck against the Atlanta Falcons and their high powered offense. They get Julio Jones back this weekend too. We should be praying for a miracle.

There is one conflicting game. It is between two teams that are currently ahead of us. The Lions are heading to Metlife Stadium to take on the Giants. If the Lions lose, we will be hoping that they lose out and we have a chance at the division. If the Giants win, they would only have to lose one more game for us to have a good chance at taking their spot. We also have the tie breaker over the Giants. This one will determine how we root for the rest of the year when it comes to these two teams.

On Sunday Night Football, Vikings fans should be rooting for a Cowboy win. I know this is going to be difficult with the wounds of defeat still fresh from week 13. The Buccaneers have been hot, but hopefully we will see them cool off in this matchup. Vikings fans will be rooting for the Cowboys next week as well, as they play the Lions.

Lastly, on Monday Night, Vikings fans should be rooting for the Panthers to damper the Redskins post season hopes.

All we need is one loss from the Redskins, and two losses from either the Falcons, Giants, or Buccaneers, or we can scrap all that if the Lions lose the remaining three games. O yeah, we also need to win out.
