Coming into this season, Minnesota Vikings right guard Mike Harris was supposed to be a day one starter. Then he was out for the season on the non football injury list for the entire 2016 season. There has been no word on what is holding him back, but some have speculations.

This seasons Minnesota Vikings offensive line has been something that has not worked out as they planned. Throughout this season, there has been eight different line combinations.

From day one, right guard Mike Harris has been on the non football injury list. He has been out for the entirety of the 2016 season. There has been no word of what has been holding Harris back. Some sources say that team officials and media members know but have held the information back in respect to Harris’ situation.

The rumor is that Harris has some type of serious sickness, possibly cancer. Rumor is that the team has kept him on the team to keep his insurance in tact to help him along during this tough time.

If this is true, we wish him nothing but the best and hope for a speedy recovery. Harris has been with the Vikings for three seasons. Hopefully we will find out the full story behind his illness, but if he wants to keep it between himself and his family, we must respect that.

If the local media knows what is going on with him, it is even more respectable that they have kept this story to themselves out of respect for him. It also shows the type of organization the Vikings are if they have kept him around to keep him on the team insurance.

Hopefully he will make a full recovery and come back to the Viking front lines if that is what he chooses to do.
