The amazing Ervin Santana has returned. Santana pitched a two-hit shutout in the Minnesota Twins victory over Baltimore on Tuesday.

Derek Falvey and Thad Levine might be on the phone right now. They probably should be after Ervin Santana pitched a gem of a game for the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night resulting in a 2-0 win.

The last couple of starts have been rocky for Santana, but Santana returned to his out-of-this-world performance realm against the Baltimore Orioles. Santana went the distance in a shutout while only allowing two hits and two walks in the ballgame.

Welington Castillo singled in the second and Jonathan Schoop singled in the fifth for the only hits against Santana.

The Twins didn’t get many hits either. The Twins totaled only six hits in the game, but had two big ones off of O’s starter Dylan Bundy. Byron Buxton got the scoring going for Minnesota in the top of the fifth inning with a single to shallow left that scored Jorge Polanco. The score doubled for the Twins in the seventh inning when Brian Dozier hit a solo home run to left.
