Byron Buxton showed off his speed on Friday night.

Minnesota Twins fans know that Byron Buxton is fast. He showed off just how fast he was on Friday night in a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The center fielder hit an inside-the-park home run to show off his blazing speed.

Oh, and the Twins won.

Buxton hit the inside-the-parker to tie the game up at three before the Twins went on to dominate the contest.

See Buxton fly around the bases in the tweet below:

Yeah, he’s pretty fast. According to StatCast, Buxton went around the bases in 13.85 seconds. I don’t think I can simply get off the couch that fast, nonetheless actually trot my way around the bases that fast.

Buxton has looked tremendously better as of late. Buxton’s glove has always been top notch, but lately the bat has come around to a very respectable level. Inside-the-park home runs are hard to come by, but this will not be the last one off of the bat from Buxton. At least it shouldn’t be.

The speed of Buxton has helped make Twins pitching look a lot better than it actually is this season. As Buxton learns to utilize his own speed even more it’ll just improve Buxton’s game anymore.

Minnesota ended up winning Friday’s contest with the Diamondbacks by a score of 10-3. Including the Buxton inside-the-parker, the Twins hit a total of six home runs. Miguel Sano hit two out of the park and Max Kepler, Edudardo Escobar and Brian Dozier all hit dingers as well.

The Twins and Diamonbacks will continue their series throughout the weekend from Target Field. Saturday evening will see Michael Cuddyer be inducted into the Twins Hall of Fame during a pregame ceremony on the field.
