The Minnesota Vikings fell 20-13 to Blair Walsh and the Seattle Seahawks in week 2 of the preseason. Jake Andersen shares what stood out to him.

In preseason game number two, the Minnesota Vikings may have lost, but there was arguably more good things to come out of this one than their victory over the Bills last week.

In a game where Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson played the entire first half, the Vikings defense held their own, although Wilson had a great game throwing for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Nevertheless, the second touchdown as well as a majority of the yards came against the Vikings’ second unit. A good test for the backup guys, who did a solid job overall.

Offensively, the team was much improved behind strong offensive line play. This wasn’t expected considering the Vikings’ left side of the line was out due to injury. Yet, they performed better than expected even though the scoreboard isn’t a great indicator of that. The only touchdown for the Vikings came off a 21-yard strike to Bucky Hodges with 2:49 to go in the game, but the offense moved the ball far better in this one.

Let’s dive in to other news and notes from the Seahawks’ 20-13 win over the Vikings!
