Minnesota Vikings: Week 1 Preview versus New Orleans Saints
Player spotlight
In all honesty, this game is chalked-full of high profile guys on both teams, both sides of the ball. This section is more geared towards players the average fan may not know about.
The biggest matchup most, other than Andy Carlson of Purple For The Win Podcast, are not talking about is Linval Joseph against Max Unger. Unger is coming off foot surgery and is not the Unger of old. He now has to go against arguably one of the most crucial parts to this Vikings defense in Joseph.

Saints starting left tackle Terron Armstead has been ruled out for this game already. The stout Vikings defensive ends will likely be facing rookie, Ryan Ramczyk. Ramczyk was widely considered one of the best offensive tackles in the 2017 draft.
The brand new offensive line of the Vikings should have their hands full to start the season when going against Cameron Jordan. Jordan ended last season with 7.5 sacks and is the Saints’ version of Everson Griffen.
The quick wideouts of the Vikings will be facing against two former Ohio State Buckeyes in Vonn Bell and Marshon Lattimore. Bell is a second year safety that had two forced fumbles last year and Lattimore a highly touted rookie cornerback.
