The Minnesota Vikings kicked off the season with a win over the New Orleans Saints, let’s preview the week two match against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Minnesota Vikings came away from week one with a big home win against the New Orleans Saints. Their reward? They now get to face another dynamic offense in the Pittsburgh Steelers; this time on the road. The battle to come back home with two wins can be watched Sunday at noon, Central Time, on FOX.

Fans can say all they want about how sweet the victory was but the most important aspect is the fact the Vikings go on the road with a win as opposed to a loss. Going to Pittsburgh winless most assuredly was something the team wanted no part of.

The Steelers also came away with a week one victory, albeit not in quite as impressive fashion. Pittsburgh defeated the Cleveland Browns by a score of 21-18. The Steelers had to lean on seven sacks from their defense and another big day from Antonio Brown.

Although Steelers teams of the past have been known to be defensively stifling, the offense is what makes this generation of the Steelers such a stalwart. Obviously, with seven sacks, their defense is just fine as well.

The two teams only meet every four years but Steelers’ head coach, Mike Tomlin will have his team ready for this one. The last time the Vikings truly hosted the Steelers was in 2005. Their last “home” game against the Steelers was actually in London at Wembley Stadium.

Regardless of how few the teams have faced off, Mike Zimmer’s defenses in Cincinnati faced Ben Roethlisberger many times. This game, once again has a heavy weight battle feel to it and yet again, the Vikings’ offense is the wild card.
