Some of the worst fears of Minnesota Vikings fans came to life before and during the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon. Let’s look at what we learned.

You don’t want to believe rumors especially when it comes to injuries surrounding your team’s players. That is especially true when those rumors surround your team’s quarterback. Throughout the week leading up the Minnesota Vikings match up with the Pittsburgh Steelers, fans heard a lot about some possible knee issues for Sam Bradford. Sadly, those concerns came to fruition with Bradford being inactive for the game against the Steelers.

That, of course, did not help the Vikings chances against the strong AFC team. The game was predicted by many as a loss for the Vikings even with Sam Bradford under center and those chances went way down once everyone knew that Case Keenum would be on the receiving end of the offensive snaps.

The loss to a solid Pittsburgh team isn’t solely on Keenum. There are a lot of things that contributed to the Vikings first loss of the season. You could say that we learned a handful of things in the purple’s 26-9 defeat out in Pennsylvania.

Let’s start out with the obvious, with the quarterback spot.
