Laquon Treadwell is a catching machine, well, compared to last season, anyway

It was looking like Laquon Treadwell was bound for Bust Boulevard after his rookie season. A rookie season that has had the first round pick only have one catch all season. Maybe the tides are turning in Treadwell’s sophomore season.

Treadwell started the season with a single catch against the New Orleans Saints, but then followed that up with three catches against the Steelers on Sunday. None of them were highlight reel worthy, but it’s still nice to see Treadwell actually contributing to the Viking offense.

More from Minnesota Vikings

Not only are the catches starting to come for Treadwell, but he has also done a good job of blocking when the ball isn’t going his way. Blocking, especially good blocking, is a very underrated talent to have for offensive skills guys.

Treadwell is not going to be the new stud of the offense. Heck, he’ll probably never break the top two options with the current staff the Vikings have, but it never hurts to have more and more weapons. If Treadwell can continue to make a couple catches a game, well, he can quickly move off of Bust Boulevard and maybe not on to All-Pro Place, but at least Solid Street.

Treadwell is trending in the right direction, that’s what we learned.
