Minnesota Twins are officially a playoff team after Angels loss
The Minnesota Twins are officially a playoff team after the Los Angeles Angels lost on Wednesday night.
If you saw this coming, well, you are a wizard. The Minnesota Twins are officially a playoff team after the Los Angeles Angels lost to the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night. The Twins watched the Angels go down in extra innings after Minnesota lost to the Cleveland Indians in their own ballgame earlier in the night.
The playoff appearance in itself is history making. The Twins are the first team ever in the history of baseball to go from 100 losses and then going into the postseason the next season. That is an incredible feat. It’s hard to pull off, too. A lot of baseball has been played in the course of time and the Twins have done something no one else has ever done.

It is not a 100% certainty, but it sure looks like the Twins will be taking on the New York Yankees in the one game Wild Card playoff game. That game will be played on Tuesday night and will be seen on ESPN.
Words can’t describe how remarkable this Twins season has been. There is no real reason the Twins should be in the postseason, but here they are. The team has overachieved and has been a team that has been beyond fun to watch.
