The Green Bay Packers are scary to start with but the thought of them returning to U.S. Bank Stadium in February is a nightmare for Minnesota Vikings fans.

The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers are yet to play this season, but it’s already probably a true statement to say the Packers are a better team. That might be solely based on the presence of Aaron Rodgers compared to the quarterback situation of the purple, but it seems that Green Bay is more poised for a playoff run than the Vikings at this point. That’s a scary thought for Vikings fans.

The Vikings, obviously, have a handful of home games left, but the Packers might be setting themselves up for something that is basically a home game in February. The most Minnesota sports thing ever would be the Packers playing in the Super Bowl in the Vikings’ home stadium and it is a great possibility.

We are only a handful of weeks into the season, but no team in the NFC has looked dominant, at all. Going into Sunday’s play, only three teams in the NFC have only one loss: Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons and the Packers.

Like the Vikings, the Packers also have their flaws, but they also have one of the best quarterbacks of all-time in Rodgers. Green Bay is decent enough on all fronts to get to the Super Bowl and the presence of Rodgers pushes them even further ahead.

There’s a lot of season to go, but it can’t sit well for Vikings fans to know that the possibility of Green Bay being crowned world champions can happen right in their front yard. Sadly, that possibility is higher than the Vikings winning a home Super Bowl. The Vikings won’t have the quarterback talent to get that far. Minnesota could sneak into the playoffs still, but they’d need a miracle to get to the big game.

Green Bay won’t likely ever have the chance to host a Super Bowl, so they’ll have to do it in the closest stadium that will host one. Again, it might not happen, but just take this as a precautionary warning, Vikings fans.
