MINNEAPOLIS, MN – OCTOBER 15: Harrison Smith

The Baltimore Ravens are coming to town to take on the first-place Minnesota Vikings in a Week 7 showdown. What are the keys to a Vikings victory?

After a huge win against the division rival Green Bay Packers, the 4-2 Minnesota Vikings take on the 3-3 Baltimore Ravens at U.S. Bank Stadium. The first-place Vikings look to win back-to-back home games, hopefully increasing their division lead in the process.

With Aaron Rodgers likely out for the season, the NFC North is wide open and looks to be a battle between the Vikings and Detroit Lions. The Packers are tied at 4-2 with the Vikings, but backup quarterback Brett Hundley doesn’t seem like a good candidate to lead them to a division title. In turn, it may be the Vikings’ division to lose, a testament to the team’s depth in replacing big-name starters like Sam Bradford and Dalvin Cook.

Even so, the Vikings still have to perform and carry on the momentum from last week’s win over Green Bay. With the Ravens coming to Minnesota and a matchup against the Cleveland Browns in the next two weeks, there’s a great opportunity to do so. If they can come out with wins against the AFC North teams, they’ll head into the Week 9 bye with a 6-2 record, setting themselves up well to reclaim the NFC North at the end of the season.

First things first, the Vikings have to take care of business against the Ravens, who are coming off a 27-24 overtime loss to the Chicago Bears. Yet, Baltimore has a pair of nice wins against the Cincinnati Bengals and Oakland Raiders, so they are by no means a team to take lightly.

Knowing this, what do the Vikings have to accomplish in order to get the W against the Ravens? Let’s look into the keys to victory!
