Derek Falvey and Thad Levine

This could easily turn into a rant about the downfalls of Terry Ryan as a General Manager and I don’t want to do. I think it is safe to say that the grand scheme of building an organization and what moves needed to be made with more importance had passed Ryan by the time he was fired. Ryan still has a place in baseball, but just not in one of the chairs with major decisions.

More from Minnesota Twins

Derek Falvey and Thad Levine are bringing new outlooks to life for the whole organization. They appear like they won’t be afraid to spend money and make moves to improve the team by addition. Plus, the presence of Falvey and Levine is why Paul Molitor has been more accepting of the analytical numbers of the game.

It is still early to fully judge the front office combination, but it looks like it is going to work out. At the bare minimum, the combo are at least quite competent. As low of a bar that is, it is a very important bar to clear in the game of baseball.

We’ll be able to know a lot more about Falvey and Levine when you and your family get together for Easter after the moves this offseason come to fruition. Right now, the Twins should be thankful that they have two incredibly intelligent men running the show.
