It is a brand new season and a brand new team for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The team has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday.

In the 2016-17 season, the Minnesota Timberwolves won a total of 31 games. Through 17 games this season, the team has already won 10 games. That is quite the improvement and it looks like the team will keep that going throughout the whole 82 game season. Heck, the team is playing well and they haven’t come close to playing their best basketball, yet.

With the additions of Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, Jeff Teague and Jamal Crawford bring about some obvious reasons to be thankful. The additions of these players are just the tip of the iceberg of what the Timberwolves should be thankful for this holiday season.

Timberwolves fans should be thankful for the return of a winning team, something that hasn’t been in town for 14 years in the NBA. That is an incredibly dry spell in a sport where it is harder to miss the playoffs than to make it.

With that, let’s hope that your turkey this holiday week is not dry and let’s take some time to look at what the Timberwolves should be thankful for.
