Sano to first base

Hey, remember that Sano fella we were just talking about? Let’s continue tinkering with the lineup by moving Sano to first base or to designated hitter. Sano showed vastly improved defense when he moved in to third from right field, but the injury bug followed him into the infield. Moving Sano to another position is a way to simply try to keep him in the batting order.

It seems to be tricky to talk about Sano and his issues in this market. It also seems that Sano doesn’t seem to keep the weight off and that affects his performance on the field. Not being able to keep the weight off is a totally normal thing, I know that all too well, but most people are not paid a very handsome salary to perform athletically. It does sound like a fun gig, though.

Sano is a very impressive hitter and could be a game changing player for years to come for the Twins organization, but to be a game changer he needs to stay on the field. Moving Sano to first or to DH would help him stay on the field and that is what the Twins and Twins fans should be hoping for.
