Minnesota Twins: 5 lineup adjustments the team should make
Escobar to any full-time position
Personally, I have forgotten how long I’ve been clamoring for Eduardo Escobar to truly be a full-time player for the Minnesota Twins. I’d assume it has been since the second season he was with the team that I’ve been pushing for Escobar to be in the lineup on an everyday basis and that stance will not change going into the 2018 season.
Escobar showed his worth in being, virtually, the full-time replacement for Miguel Sano in the last weeks of the season. Looking at the WAR statistic, Escobar had the 11th best mark among all Twins players and ninth among position players.

It’ll take another move for Escobar to find a full-time position in 2018, but Escobar does deserve to have a spot in the everyday lineup this coming season. He has a solid bat and his glove is an asset at just about every position around the diamond.
Escobar probably won’t be making an All-Star Game in his career, but he is the kind of plucky player that always seems to make plays when the pressure is on. The Twins are a better team when Escobar gets the most at-bats possible and that starts with giving Escobar a full-time gig in the 2018 season.
