Minnesota Timberwolves Rumors: 3 reasons to trade Jimmy Butler for Khris Middleton
Swapping Jimmy Butler for Khris Middleton would be a smart move if the Minnesota Timberwolves can pull off the blockbuster trade.
Jimmy Butler has all but played his last game for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The NBA rumor mill has speculated where Butler could possibly land next in a trade. One of the hottest trade rumors going has Butler heading to the Milwaukee Bucks for guard Khris Middleton.
It has been reported that the Timberwolves offered Butler to the Bucks in a swap of 6-foot-8 wing players. The trade, despite requiring more players and draft picks to complete would work out for both teams involved.
Getting Butler would be an excellent trade from the Bucks’ standpoint.
Milwaukee is one of those teams expected for a breakout year in the Eastern Conference. As good as Middleton is for them, he does not get the Bucks over the hump. Butler does, however.
Most of the time Butler will take on the toughest defensive assignment along the perimeter. By using his uncanny ability to get to the basket, Butler can draw attention away from Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Together, both Butler and the ascending Antektokompo can wreak havoc on both sides of the floor. If the Bucks could advance to the Eastern Conference finals, Butler would be worth trading for.
With the reasons why the Bucks should make the deal obvious, why would the Timberwolves trade for Middleton?
