Have you ever sat back and wondered who the best starting quarterback of the last five years was for the Minnesota Vikings? Well, I wasn’t sitting back, but I didn’t recently have that question pop into my head which took me down a rabbit hole of interesting thoughts, some of which actually pertained to the main question.

The Vikings have had eight different men start at the quarterback position in the last five seasons and some have worked better than others. To give you a meter of how many quarterbacks get a shot with the Vikings: since the 2000 season, only five times has only QB started all 16 games for the purple. Daunte Culpepper three times and one time for both Brett Favre and Christian Ponder.

In the five year window we will be looking at, Ponder is the only one to have accomplished that feat. Our window starts the season after Favre’s miraculous first season with the Vikings and works its way to the present-day Teddy Bridgewater era.

Eight men stand before us ready to get ranked and we start off with a guy who apparently likes his momma’s soup and to get behind the wheel of a vehicle after having a few adult beverages.
