The simple state of the matter is that the Minnesota Twins should not even be where they are right now. The Twins have overachieved to an unthinkable level this season which is a good thing. After the last handful of seasons, it is nice to be pleasantly surprised by good baseball.

With Monday’s victory over the Cleveland Indians, the Twins clinched not having a losing season which was probably the loftiest goal anyone realistically had for the team going into 2015, but here we are just a couple sleeps from October and the Twins find themselves in the middle of a hotly contested playoff run for the second wild card spot in the American League.

The Twins really have no one to blame, but themselves if they miss the playoffs. Sure, like I said they have overachieved, but the team lost games to the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels in the past week-plus that probably should’ve been won by the team and if they would have, well, the Twins would probably be in the driver’s seat for the second Wild Card spot right now, but they are not.

We have collected a couple things that the Twins need to have happen for them to hopefully going to the playoffs when the regular season concludes on Sunday.
