Minnesota Timberwolves fall again to the Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets apparently have the Minnesota Timberwolves number as the Wolves fall once again to the division foe.

How exciting was the Nuggets-Timberwolves game on Tuesday? Well, the majority of SportsCenter’s highlight package for the game was about Denver players losing their shoes. Yes, you read that right. That is an accurate representation of how far the Nuggets and Wolves have fallen in the eyes of the national media, apparently.

The Nuggets won the game 112-100 and were led by former Wolves draft pick Randy Foye. Foye dropped 19 points in a return to Target Center in 25 minutes of play off the bench. Kenneth Faried also scored 19 for the Nuggets and grabbed 10 rebounds in the contest.

The young guns led the scoring parade for the Wolves. Andrew Wiggins dropped 23 in 34 minutes of play. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 18 in 28 minutes. Off the bench, Zach LaVine scored 20 in 25 minutes. Ricky Rubio was an assist away from a double-double with a nine assist and 13 point game while shooting 3-6 from the field including a 2-3 mark from three-point land.

More from Minnesota Timberwolves

Kevin Martin can usually be counted on for some points, but points were hard to come by for the veteran on Tuesday. Martin scored only two points in 22 minutes of play. Martin was outscored by Kevin Garnett who had six points in only 13 minutes on the court.

Only Andre Miller, Adreian Payne and Nemanja Bjelica were a positive in the plus/minus for Minnesota in the contest.
