Facebook study: Iowa, the Dakotas bleed purple too

The Vikings dominate the upper Midwest region in fan base, according to a Facebook study based on about 35 million account holders in the United States who have Liked a page for one of the 32 teams in the league.
The study produced a detailed map that breaks down each state by county. The whole state of Minnesota, of course, is covered with purple—the designated color for the Vikings.
Most of North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa is covered with purple. Eight counties in Nebraska, four counties in Montana and a single county in Kansas consist of a majority of Vikings fans as well.
