Minnesota Vikings To Honor Former Center Matt Birk

According to WCCO the Minnesota Vikings will honor former center and St. Paul native Matt Birk at Sunday’s game. Birk will serve as an honorary captain for the Vikings.

He spent 11 seasons with the Vikings and was drafted in the sixth round in 1998. Birk went to the Pro Bowl six times and finished his NFL career a Baltimore Raven and a Super Bowl XLVII Champion. But he retired from the NFL in 2012.
