Top 6 Stat-Stuffing Seasons in Vikings History
By Nick Fritz
#5: 1975 Chuck Foreman
It’s hard to find photographs let alone highlights of Chuck Foreman. It was not hard for Foreman to find the endzone in 1975. He did it a staggering 22 times, the most in Vikings history for any position. The dual-threat running back hit pay dirt both on the ground and through the air. He ran for 13 touchdowns and 1070 yards while receiving for 9 touchdowns and 691 yards. Not bad, considering the NFL season was just 14 games back then.
Foreman played college ball at the University of Miami. His head coach Fran Curci knew he was special right away. “Chuck Foreman has that extra move you don’t teach. You have to be born with it,” he said.
Along with Fran Tarkenton, Foreman helped lead the Vikings to a 12-2 record. They were one and done in the playoffs, but put up numbers in the regular season that we’ll never forget.
"Game of the Year: In a week 14 drubbing of OJ Simpson and the Buffalo Bills, Chuck Foreman found the enzone 4 times. Twice through the air and twice on the ground. He also accounted for 172 all-purpose yards."
