It isn’t eye-popping stats or wins that made year one so auspicious. He made plenty of mistakes as all rookie quarterbacks do. It was the big plays that we haven’t seen here in the land of 10,000 lakes for quite some time. For younger Vikings fans, it’s completely new. Consistently tight throws, avoided pressures and clutch finishes are something we’ve come to expect from other quarterbacks in the NFC north. But this one is wearing purple.
It took me a while to pick my three favorite plays from our rookie of the year finalist, but here they are:
