Minnesota Timberwolves To Host Open Scrimmage On July 8
Are you like me and want to see the Minnesota Timberwolves now instead of later? Well, the good news is that is a thing that is going to happen, Wolves fan. The Timberwolves will be hosting an open scrimmage at Target Center next Tuesday, July 8, at 7:00.
The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30, but if you are a member, fancy term for season ticket holder, you can get in at 6:00. Season ticket holders also get reserved seating and access to an autograph session with the players afterwards.
Speaking of players the Timberwolves website lists the following as who will be there: Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Shabazz Muhammad, Gorgui Dieng, Adreian Payne as well as the Wolves’ 2015 NBA Draft picks Karl-Anthony Towns and Tyus Jones.
Just like a real Timberwolves game, Kevin Garnett probably will not play. Love ya, KG.

After the game, the young pups head off to Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League which runs from July 10-20. With the talent the Wolves have, they should do pretty damn good in the tournament, but then again, who cares about the Summer League?
Very cool effort by the Wolves to peak fans’ interest after, well, a downturn in Wolves fandom over the last decade. Last week’s draft seemed to garner a lot of interest across Minnesota and it’s only smart business to keep them coming while they are thinking about you.
During the whole press release about the scrimmage, the Wolves push season ticket membership which is something they probably won’t have to worry about again for too much longer.
