Kevin Garnett Re-signs With Minnesota Timberwolves

The best Minnesota Timberwolves player in history is coming back to the team on a two-year deal. Yes, the 39-year-old Kevin Garnett is staying with the Wolves after being traded over to his original team this past season.

Garnett then played in a total of five games for the Wolves after returning to Minnesota. The Star Tribune reports that it is likely the deal Garnett will officially be able to ink on Thursday will have a provision that will KG to move into the front office in the 2016-17 season if he is not healthy enough to play basketball.

Jerry Zgoda also points out a quite an amazing fact. Garnett will be joining only Robert Parish and Kevin Willis as the only NBA players to play in 21 seasons at the highest level.

This will be Garnett’s 14th season with the Timberwolves. Garnett has made 10 All-Star Games with the Wolves and made it out of the first round of the playoffs once.

Also in the contract news, the Wolves have signed up two of the key cogs in getting the team past the first round of the playoffs again. The Wolves have agreed with draft picks Karl-Anthony Towns and Tyus Jones which there wasn’t much to do for talks since the NBA has it slotted what rookies get paid.

All three of these signings come just a day after the Wolves agreed to get European stud Nemanja Bjelica over to the team as well.

None of these signings can actually be officially signed until Thursday.
