Minnesota Timberwolves Officially Sign Euroleague MVP Nemanja Bjelica
The Minnesota Timberwovles have officially signed the best basketball player in all of Europe. Well, at least if that’s what you believe the Euroleague MVP award would signify. Nemanja Bjelica is coming to save the Timberwolves. Well him and Karl-Anthony Towns, Tyus Jones, Andrew Wiggins… you get the picture.
Bjelica was the Euroleague averaging 11.5 points a game and 8.2 rebounds a game with a shooting percentage of 54.1 percent. He was playing for Fenerbahce Ulker in the most delicious country in the world, Turkey.
Delicious, but it makes you tired, sadly. Sorry, Turkey.
Bjelica also shot 37.4 percent from downtown three-point jamboree land. An added three-point shooter would do wonders for the Wolves who currently don’t have a lot of three-point shooting. Damjan Rudez, who was just acquired for Chase Budinger, and Bjelica might be looked at to be the guys’ hitting the threes.
The 27-year-old has seven European seasons under his basketball waistband, so far. A bright spot looking at the native-Serbian’s stats is that two seasons ago, Bjelica lead Europe in defensive rebounds and was second in overall rebounds and rebounds per game.

The Associated Press reports that Bjelica will be wearing the number 88 in the states with the Wolves. Bjelica will be the first player in the history of the Timberwolves to wear the number 88.
According to the Timberwolves’ all-time numerical roster, Bjelica will be the first Wolf to wear a number over 55. The only T-Wolves player to wear 55 was the incredible Marko Jaric.
Bjelica was drafted in the 2010 Draft by the Washington Wizards in the second round, but the Wolves traded for his rights on that night.
