Minnesota Vikings: Adrian Peterson Returns To Practice Field
If I have learned anything from my time in the school of journalism, seriously, I went to school for this, it’s that you should always follow up on your stories. You should also always have a very solid lead, but it sure looks like that boat has sailed on this go-round.
Last week down in Mankato at Minnesota Vikings training camp, star running back Adrian Peterson hit the ground and had to limp off the field. It was reported that Peterson would probably be fine right away, but it took until Monday for Peterson to get back onto the practice field.
The Star Tribune reports that Peterson returned to the field Monday as the Vikings kicked off their work at Winter Park in Eden Prairie. Peterson reportedly only participated in some individual drills and stayed on the sideline for the fully-padded 11-on-11 portion of the time.

As I mentioned before, practice time for Peterson might be more important than it is for most. One reason being that Peterson virtually missed a whole season and needs to get back into football shape or the best you can without actually getting hit. I’m not saying that Peterson is out of shape, there is a difference between in shape and being in football shape.
Two, Peterson won’t be playing in any of the Vikings preseason games, so he needs to be ready to go when kickoff comes on a late September 14 Monday night in San Francisco area.
Vikings regular season football is only 27 sleeps away, my football loving friends.
