And now for everybody else
Let’s take a quick gander down the rest of the roster and see what we should be looking for or thinking about them.
Kevin Garnett – KG’s the most experienced player on the team and is on the roster for more of a mentor role than anything. The main thing to watch for is to see if Garnett actually plays this season compared to only the five he played in once he arrived in Minnesota last season.
Shabazz Muhammad – Shabazz has done the near impossible. Not many liked the Wolves drafting him and now most have positive thoughts on the UCLA product. He should be a very productive bench player for the Wolves.
Gorgui Dieng – Dieng has improved in both his NBA seasons so far and there’s no reason to think that’ll stop. If Dieng can really step up to the plate and be a suitable back-up to Towns, well, Nikola Pekovic might have a rude awakening coming.
Kevin Martin – He’s thrived coming off the bench in his career and that looks like to be the plan for the Wolves to start off with this season. He was the Wolves’ leading scorer last season and should be putting some big points up off the bench, too.

Nikola Pekovic – Hurt to start the season which isn’t a shock. Pekovic can never stay healthy and it I’d just like to see him stay healthy for a while for once.
Adreian Payne – He looked good at Michigan State and Flip Saunders gave a nice load up to get Payne from Atlanta. Saunders was huge buddies with MSU coach Tom Izzo and that gives me hope that Payne will be a really solid role player in the NBA.
Damjan Rudez – He can allegedly shoot the three and the Wolves need all the help they can get from downtown. Other than some three-pointers, I wouldn’t be expecting much.
Nemanja Bjelica – One of three rookies on the team and he put up some nice numbers in the preseason. He’ll get some playing time and will look better than fellow rookie Tyus Jones, too.
Andre Miller and Tayshaun Prince – Both were good players in their day and both should be good mentors to a team full of really young players. These two and Garnett should hopefully being playing minimally by the end of the season, because that means the young guns have matured and gelled together.
