Buddy Hield took the NCAA by storm last season. Hield put together one of the best statistical shooting seasons ever seen. Leading his team to Final Four, Hield won a slew of awards in his senior season at Oklahoma.

A dead eye shooter, Hield posted a line of .501/.457/.880. He led the country in points with 925 and posted a PER, player efficiency rating, of 28.8. He also led the country in 3 point field goals, while scoring an average of 25 ppg.

Hield would be a perfect needs pick for the Timberwolves as they ranked basically last in the league in any stats from beyond the arc. He also would not be a reach at the 5th pick. Hield could come off the bench and give the second unit a dangerous shooter to rely on.

Being a senior will not hurt his draft stock, especially for a team like the Timberwolves who per say does not need another 19 year old that needs time to grow. Hield will be one of the most NBA-ready prospects in this draft.

If you watched Buddy Hield play the last few years, you understand why he would be a great pick for the Timberwolves. The biggest need for the team is outside shooting, as that is such a huge part of the modern NBA game. He would fill their biggest need.
