"“The decision to part ways with Terry was difficult, painful and not obvious. We are extremely grateful and very thankful to Terry, his wife Karilyn and their family for being a part of the Minnesota Twins.”"
The Twins have not reached the postseason since 2010 which was the year before Ryan took back over as the team’s general manager. At the moment have the worst record in the American League at 33-58. They are only at 33 wins because of a hot streak over the last couple weeks before the All Star break. Minnesota is on pace for its fourth straight last place finish in the last six years.
With the trade deadline coming, it will be interesting if the Twins are going to be sellers and blow this up a little. It seems that finally the higher ups in the Twins organization are tired of the mediocre performance and have realized it was time for a change.
