With the Minnesota Timberwolves not living up to the expectations most set for them before the season started, they look to be projected to have another high lottery pick.

Coming into this season, expectations were sky high for the Minnesota Timberwolves. After a 29 win season, most thought the young Timberwolves were ready to turn the corner.

Even the Las Vegas Westgate Superbook had the over/under at 41.5 wins, putting them right around a .500 record and gaining 13 wins.

I know the most annoying thing for a Timberwolves fan to hear is “be patient, next year,” but this might be yet another year in which we will be saying this.

It will take time for new Head Coach Tom Thibodeau to get his system implemented. It is also going to take some research and adjustments to figure out this team’s second half woes, which have been their downfall all season.

If they stay on the projection they are at now, they will finish the season with 20 wins. We could guess that this team will most likely have a better second half that it’s first, but who knows.

There are four teams currently with 6 wins. The Nets, Mavericks, 76ers, and Timberwolves.

This year’s draft class is going to be loaded. From players like Josh Jackson(Kansas), Lonzo Ball(UCLA), Markelle Fultz(Washington), Harry Giles(Duke), Jayson Tatum(Duke), and Jonathon Issac(Florida State).

No matter how it falls, without a serious turn of events, the Timberwolves will be in position to add another player that could be of Towns, Wiggins, or Lavine’s potential.

I know this is not what Minnesota Timberwolves fans wanted to hear this season, but this is year one of the Thibodeau era. We must give him some time to implement his system, draft and develop players, and work to sign key free agents. Hopefully sooner than later.
