Minnesota Timberwolves: 4 things the Timberwolves should be thankful for
Jimmy Butler
Personally, I am having a love-hate relationship with Jimmy Butler this season. I thought he turned a corner on Sunday against Detroit, but then the whole team didn’t look good against Charlotte on Monday so who really knows anymore. That whole love-hate is solely based on the fact that Butler isn’t exactly scoring to the level he is used to.
I know that Butler has been integral in other parts of the game. His defensive presence brings something to the Wolves that they haven’t had in years: actual defense. That alone is worth the price of poker for the Timberwolves to get him on their team.

It will all come together for Butler, I am confident in that. Butler’s presence already has upped the gameplay of the likes of Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. That is a major key to making his acquisition important as well. Simply, Butler brings a lot more than just scoring to the team and all his intangibles were desperately needed.
Between his veteran leadership and being one of the best players in the league, the Timberwolves should be beyond thankful that Butler is on their team. The Wolves haven’t had a lot superstar wing players before so this is uncharted territory for us all.
