Minnesota Timberwolves show they are here to stay in win over Cleveland
The Minnesota Timberwolves cruised to the easiest of victories on Monday night.
LeBron James is a really good basketball player, so good in fact that it was over a decade since he had left Target Center with a loss. The Minnesota Timberwolves hadn’t been good for most of James’ career, but, boy, are they good now.
The final score doesn’t show accurately how dominating the Timberwolves were over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs didn’t get much help from anyone, including LeBron, and ended up losing 127-99.
It was the first time since 2005 that LeBron James lost in Target Center. The superstar also only had 10 points and his worst career plus/minus. It was quite the adventure.
It was the sixth straight game the Timberwolves held their opponent under 100 points. It looks like the defensive side of the ball has finally clicked for Minnesota.

Simply, it looks like the Timberwolves are finally here to stay. The defensive effort has looked so darn good and the team is becoming more and more fun to watch.
A Monday in Minneapolis in January might not totally determine the rest of the season, but it might just put the Timberwolves on the right foot. Especially when the team could dominate and also rest starters with Taj Gibson and Andrew Wiggins playing the most minutes of any starters with only 31 minutes. Heck, Jimmy Butler would have achieved a triple-double on Monday night, but the Timberwolves were leading by so much that his services weren’t needed in the fourth quarter.
Target Center was electric and Wolves fans should be ecstatic about the possibilities of what’s to come for a Minnesota squad that has stars and finally some defense.
This is gonna be fun.
The Timberwolves continue the fun on Wednesday when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder from Target Center.
