Fred Hoiberg going to the Chicago Bulls and not being Flip Saunders’ successor for the Minnesota Timberwolves is already throwing up havoc for Minnesota as Hoiberg’s Bulls ruined the Wolves’ perfect Summer League record. The Bulls reigned victorious on Saturday with a 84-71 win over the Wolves who now fall to 1-1 in summer play.

The Wolves had two rough quarters. The first quarter saw only 14 points while the third quarter saw only ten.

Karl-Anthony Towns reigned in his fouls while only committing four on Saturday. Towns scored nine points, grabbed nine boards and blocked two shots in almost 33 minutes of play.

Tyus Jones got to start on Saturday after coming off the bench the night before. Jones put in 14 points and dished out three assists.

Adreian Payne and Zach LaVine where the other Wovles to hit double-digits in the points column. LaVine put in 20 with nine rebounds and Payne put in 16 with nine rebounds himself.

Three Chicago Bulls’ players reached double-digits, as well. This year’s draft pick for Chicago, Bobby Portis, lead the way with 23 points. Last year’s pick, Doug McDermott, you might know him as Dougy McBucketts, put in 20 points.

No Wolves player was a positive in the plus/minus, while every Bulls player was a the exact opposite, all being positives.

The Wolves have Sunday off, but get right back to work on Monday against the Utah Jazz in good ol’ Summer League action from fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada.
