Minnesota Vikings: Ranking the NFC teams the Vikings least want to face in the playoffs
3. Los Angeles Rams

The Viking Age
The St. Louis castaways are doing really well this season. The team doesn’t look at all like the team that was coached by Jeff Fisher and was quarterbacked by Case Keenum last season. If the Most Improved award could be given to a whole team, it would be given to this Los Angeles squad.
A lot of that has to do with the rainbow connection between head coach Sean McVay and second year quarterback Jared Goff. Goff will legitimately be a top candidate for the Most Improved Player award. That being said, Goff is still young and has no playoff experience.
Vikings fans should hope that playoff experience isn’t a major factor in the postseason this year with their current quarterback situation, but as good as the Rams defense is that Keenum will be facing, it still isn’t the Vikings defense that Goff will be facing.
I would not expect a rematch of these teams to be as dominating for the Vikings as the first matchup, but it still should be a Vikings victory. I don’t know if it’s the Purple Kool-Aid or the Purple Pride, but I just don’t see a young quarterback going into a rocking U.S. Bank Stadium and leave with a win against that crowd and, much more importantly, that defense.
